 About the Designer
Coty Splichal has been designing clothing since the age of 14.  She has repeatedly been featured in local media and has worked with many well-known celebrities, as well as with bands and publications within the Goth scene.  Over the course of her design career, she has owned and operated a business offering a line of hairpieces, accessories, and clothing.  Her work can be found online at ragdolly.net and also at her storefront boutique.

After receiving her Associate’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, she attended Florida State University to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Product Development and Textiles.  Her courses and work experience are rooted in the fields of apparel design, fashion illustration, and technical design.  Upon graduation from Florida State, she went to New York to intern for Sean John as a knit designer.   

Currently she is working as an assistant designer for a large department store designing their private brand junior and young men lines.

Design Philosophy
My goal is to design apparel and accessories that define and express exactly how the target client feels.  A client's self-perception is always unique and should be valued, and I feel that it is rewarding to have that self-image aesthetically expressed.  Versatility is key as a designer. To be able to work with any client, while keeping a tasteful and unique perspective to design - and have fascinating results should always be the goal, knowing that design is frequently changing to move with the environment and events of the time.

Availability
Available for full-time or freelance work in the Northeast United States up to Canada in: creative direction and development, illustration/design, hand- and computer-generated flats, production, and patternmaking. Willing to travel frequently, relocate internationally if necessary.
