THINKING ABOUT GETTING DREADS OR MAKING DREADFALLS?
Kanekelon jumbo braid is the best hair to be used in making dreads. It works well because it is easily tangled and matted for a dreadlocks look, and is the easiest hair to seal with heat. We are not here to teach you how to apply professional silky dreads, but here is a site that can help.
PACKAGING:
This item is shipped in plastic bags and the hair inside is rubber banned flat to prevent friction. Each bag has 6 ounces or more of hair (a fist full) and is 48" inches in length, bound with a rubberband and folded in half.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REGULAR JUMBO BRAID AND KANEKELON?
Well, for one there is a huge price difference. Here are some other factors:
TEXTURE: the texture of the kanekelon is much softer.
AMOUNT: kanekelon jumbo braid has a tiny bit more hair per bag, also the hair tends to be more poofy, so it looks like more as well.
LENGTH: they are the same length.
HEAT: kanekelon hair is non flammable, yet it shrinks down and seals permanently for dreads. It creates a very hard and stable dreadlock.
SHINE: kanekelon hair is more shiny than regular jumbo braid.
